Here's some other tips: 1. Most landlords use leases that are slanted in favor of the landlord. I would be sure you have the following in your lease (if its not there make an addendum) a. Landlord will be in breach of agreement and lease may be terminated by tenant if landlord does not make necessary repairs with 7 or 10 days of request. b. If apartment becomes inhabited by rodents, roaches or other insects, Landlord will exterminate on a monthly basis until such time as problem has been effectively alleviated. Landlord's neglect in this regard will result in breach of agreement and lease may be terminated by tenant. c. Except in cases of emergency, Landlord will give tenent no less than 24 hour notice before landlord enters tenant's apartment. Hope this helps, RandyC I agree with the previous answer.
