What happens when i rent an apartment in a building that is now being forclosed on?

I rent an apartment above a commercial spot that has been forclosed on and is being sold in a sherrif’s auction. i was told that legally i still am required to pay the current landlords (the ones who are getting forclosed on) the rent for six months from the date of sale, but that doesn’t make sense to me.. HELP!! What are my rights?

My lease has a clause for 30 day notice to cancel the agreement. My landlord gave me verbal notice and is trying to make me leave within twenty days, because he signed a lease with a new tenant that is to start before the end of my 30 days. This is in the state of Utah.

We moved into our duplex 6 months ago with two dogs(with no deposit). We have 6 more months of our lease to go. The landlord is selling the duplex . If she sells it can the new landlord try to get us to get rid of our two dogs?It’s in the lease that we have them would that be breaking the lease?Can they make us give them a pet deposit it’s in the lease theres no pet deposit. Married couple sign a lease based on their combined income; one dies or has to go to a nursing home, what happens to the lease if the survivor cannot afford the apartment?
And he/she cannot even meet the properties minimum income requirements. Are there any extra charges for having to move out (break the lease)? What if the spouse goes to a nursing home does all his/her income like SSI/pension go to the nursing home?

My brother is renting an apartment that he signed a yrs lease for. He still has 8mos left on his lease. He is planning on moving with his girlfriend and breaking his lease. I tried to talk him out of it. I told him that he can and will be sued and must pay them at least 3months rent if he wants to leave. Did I advise him correctly?

My husband and I are paying a rediculous amount of money for rent. It may not seem like a lot to some people but its a lot to us! Its about 10,000 a year. We have to re-sign our lease in a few days but we are planning to buy a house in the summer. What happens when you break your lease? Do they charge you for all the months left on your lease or what? I’m pretty sure my landlord will try and collect to the fullest extent allowed. Would he be able to collect the remaining months on my lease? My lease mentions nothing about what happens if I break it or likewise. Thanks!
