What is a fair distribution of rent between 2 singles and a couple?
Two single people and a couple I know are trying to work out living arrangements between the 4 of them, and have asked me for advice. One of the singles is requesting the master bedroom (which isn’t larger but has a walk-in closet and personal bathroom the other rooms lack) while the rent distribution remains 25% for each person. The couple requests the master bedroom or else they only feel like they should pay 40% of the rent with 50% of the utilities. The third person has no opinion. What do you guys think?
