You may not be privy to this going on in the property management world, but we all are! It will cost more for them to have you move even if they could boost the rent rate with a new tenant... turnover costs, number of days vacant,etc... it just doesn't make financial sense in this market. The best option is to go in there if possible (in person), let them know that your one roommate is leaving but that you have a replacement and you would like to renew the current offer with the new roommate. And, they will have to put the new tenant on the lease anyway, and if they were smart would have her fill out an app so they could run the credit on this new person. Good luck!
