Can I Break An Apartment Lease By Presenting A Dr’s Note Stating The Apartment Stress Is Affecting My Health?
I am living with two roomates in an apartment that we all signed a lease for. I would like to get out of the apartment because Im not getting along with my two roomates. If my doctor provides a note stating the stress of the apartment is affecting my health would that get me off the lease?

No, but if your roommates will let you go, the management should have no trouble taking you off the lease.
That is a huge “maybe”.
Honestly, it depends on how much of a jerk your landlord is.
See the problem is, legally, you can’t break a lease if it is not somethng about the apartment itself that is causing you issues. You put yourself into the position with these roommates, it isn’t your landlord’s problem.
You can move out anytime you want, he or she (or they) may still hold you liable for the money until the lease is up. Doctor’s note or not.
I don’t think so, since the roommates are the cause of your stress, If your roommates are doing anything illegal maybe you can get them kicked out. Otherwise learn to live with it. It will be over before you know it.
probably not. it is all about inhabitability not stress level.
Hmmm. Dare i say you aren’t going to be able to. I am assuming all 3 of the lease. If not, then you can, unless you signed something w/your friends. I guess my question would be to you “You knew your friends and their habits, so why did you do this?”. Again, a lawyer can give you some options, but, be prepared to stick it out.
no, haha, I would just take my tenant to court and sue them for the balance if they tried that.
No. You will have to take it to court and by the time you go through the process, your lease could be up anyway.
What are you going to use to bribe the doctor? They don’t like to give false information, especially in writing.
No, it won’t. You can get out of a lease if you pay lease breakage fees. But if you are just leaving, I think that it would be wise to take it up with your roommates. Maybe you could find a replacement for you so their rent wouldn’t go up.
