4 Months Left On My Apartment Lease, Should I Start Looking For New Place Yet?

when my apartment lease is up im moving but have no place picked out yet with 4 months left is now a good time to pick out and start touring apartments? and whats the earlies i can reserve or put down a security deposit?

    That really depends on where you live. It’s never a bad time to consider the neighborhoods you’d most like to live in, so that seems a reasonable place to start right now.
    In the city I live in now, it’s really only possible to rent an apartment about a month in advance. Usually landlords don’t know 4 months ahead of time that there will be a vacancy.
    I used to live in a college town, however, where apartment leases would be signed early and once expired would not lapse to month-to-month rental agreements. That meant that students who were looking for housing had to start looking quite early.
